I ran into you in the most unexpected of manners,
as I precipitately ran the last steps to my classroom door,
class to which I was arriving over 20 minutes late,
you came out of the bathroom, and stood there,
right in front of me, as if was meant to be.
You were there, so beautiful, so surprised,
I was there, so stressed, oh so flabbergasted,
the moment became so simple, time unfolded itself
and we just stood there, for one second that became so many more.
I never run into you, and it had to be today,
today out of all days, you, and me.
And it was so simple, me and you,
and there was nothing else to it, a smile, a kiss.
The clock started ticking again, I ran into class,
and it was done, and I am still full of smiles.
